ANDRIY "OREST" KOZYUBCHYK, A LEGEND WHICH INSPIRES US
On August 17 marks one year since an outstanding nationalist, layal son of the Ukrainian land, officer of "Tryzub" and founder of the "Right Sector" movement - Andriy Kozyubchyk joined the ranks of Heavenly Host.
Andriy was born on August 3, 1981 in Kryvyi Rih city. An industrialized city, russified people, harsh life, at first glance all these circumstances did not contributed to formation of Christian and nationalist ideology. However, Andriy felt himself a patriot since childhood and eventually find himself in the ranks of Ukrainian nationalist movement. The hometown has tempered his character and nationalist beliefs, give an important life experience.
Later Andriy with his friend Andriy Tarasenko (current leader of political wing of the "Right Sector") have created the initiative group of "Tryzub" nationalist organisation in Kryvyi Rih. Thanks to combination of courage and ingenuity they managed to implement the ideas of Ukrainian nationalism and mostly clear the city from the dirt of Soviet past.
Along with the character of Ukrainian nationalist "Orest" grow strong Christian core in his heart. He often visited a Masses in the Greek Catholic church, which is located in many miles from his home.
One day, feeling the need for a deeper immersion into a Christian life Andriy decided to choose the way of the monk and went to the monastery of Franciscan brothers (Eastern Rite) in Ternopil. Later Friend "Orest" left the monastery and continued nationalist struggle, however he was so happy of every meeting with friends-monks, moreover, the monks of Ternopil`s monastery have always welcomed the members of "Tryzub" as a guests.
Andry was engaged in various areas of work within the "Tryzub" nationalist organisation. He had a gift of communication, he was very respected person not only among the brothers from "Tryzub", but also among the members of other Ukrainian nationalist organisations.
Andriy Kozyubchyk has proved himself as a brave warrior. Friend "Orest" was not afraid of hard and dangerous orders. Moreover, he couldn't stand aside when someone tried to make a crime against Ukraine of Christianity.
Andriy loved weapon, both an edged weapons and firearms. A knife was his constant companion. Also Andry was in love with the Age of Chivalry, Traditional, Middle Ages of Europe. He choose the life of a knight-pilgrim, traveled around Ukraine in connection with the nationalist movement activities. He was indifferent to material values. Often he spent all money on gifts or aid for friends and brothers on nationalist struggle.
He was the one, who started the process of creating the "Right Sector" movement at November 2013, after receiving consent from the leadership of "Tryzub" he started negotiations with representatives of other nationalist movements and laid the foundations of a structure, which united thousands of patriots.
Friend "Orest" was active participant of confrontation with servants of anti-Ukrainian forces at the Maidan. Perhaps, exactly his shot has punished a lot of defenders of Yanukovych's criminal regime in those February days.
An extraordinary, energetic, sacrificial, strong-willed Personality is one of the main driving forces of the Ukrainian nationalism and the Orest`s life is the great example of this! Defending the interests of a nation, nationalism brings up an aristocratic persons, who have to continue the struggle. But only the strongest and most outstanding characters became a legend after the death. Andriy Kozyubchyk is one of them.
