MARCH IN SUPPORT OF TRADITIONAL FAMILY VALUES IN IVANO-FRANKIVSK

Since the leftist ideology has spread throughout Europe one of main goals its supporters are trying to reach in cultural area was destruction of a concept of traditional family and popularisation of abortions as a "way to avoid unnecessary responsibility." As for Ukraine, we can claim that the vast majority of abortions in our country is caused by the economic situation in the country first of all, however, there is also a number of public organisations, whose members with help of regular foreign grants are trying to promote extreme liberal ideology into the Ukrainian society.

Thank God poisonous seeds of their ideology has not been growing yet on the fertile soil of Ukrainian society, in contrary, so-called LGBT actions and festivals are facing more and more opposers in Ukrainian cities.

One of such actions was held yesterday, on March 23 in Ivano-Frankivsk, where the city residents, representatives of the clergy and the city authorities came out to a march in support of traditional family values and against propaganda of abortions.  The pro-life march was started with common prayer at the Church of the Nativity of Our Lady after which the column marched through the city central streets.

As was told by the march organizer, the deputy of Ukrainian pro-life Christian movement Miroslaw Wozniak, the measure is aimed to draw the society's attention at the problem of legalized infanticide. "Nobody makes such statistics now, but in the Soviet times about 1 million and 200 thousands abortions were held every year, and I don't think that this figure has changed for recent years. We have to stand up for life! For example, abortions are under prohibition in such European countries as Ireland and Poland, and that's a good example. This problem concerns the entire nation, and, first of all, the government, which should provide a decent standard of living for single mothers," - said Mr. Wozniak.

During the action the Ivano-Frankivsk mayor Ruslan Martsinkiv has also made a little speech in which he stressed the need to preserve Ukrainian family traditions and Christian values. Mr. Martsinkiv also noted the difference between Europe and artifical "European values."
