MOLDOVA'S CONSTITUTIONAL COURT HAS TERMINATED THE AUTHORITY OF THE KREMLIN PROXY PRESIDENT

Odious Igor Dodon - the current president of Moldova, known as a Kremlin's protege - he expressed a desire to change the form of government on his favor. He is planning to implement such an abmbicious idea by involving own Socialist Party, which members will collect signatures to change the constitutional order. Explaining his plans Dodon traditionally used populist theses, emphasizing that he long-term crisis in the republic hasn't been resolved yet because of a parliamentary form of government, so he proposes to change it, citing the example of the Russian Federation, Belarus and the United States.

It is important to note that on October 17, the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Moldova temporary transfer presidential powers to Moldova's prime minister Andrian Candu because of "the President's failure to fulfill his constitutional powers." the last straw for such verdict was that Dodon twice refused to appoint the Secretary of Defense proposed by the government. The presidental chrisis in Moldova is a long-term one. Dodon has long lost the credibility among politicians in the republic ecause of his pro-Kremlin orientation, that often often borders on complete irracionality and counter-national interests.

In October 2016 Dodon made a scandalous statement in which he recognized the occupied Crimean peninsula as a part of the Russian Federation. It so happened that while being president, Dodon is in opposition to the parliamentary majority. However, not everything is so smooth there too, as the parliament keeps following the EU-intergation line. In addition, there are supporters of Moldiva's accession to Romania among the country's influencual politicans.

On October 24, the chairman of the Parliament, the acting president, Andrian Kandu signed a decree appointing Eujen Sturza - against whom Dodon spoke - to the Defense Minister post. In the future, a scandalous Moldovan president may meet with his own impeachment, even without changing the form of government in his favor.

Recall, last Summer Igor Dodon announced his plans to participate the planned events in Bandery city, Transnistria region, dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the peacekeeping mission on the Dniester River. This statement had caused a scandal in Moldovan society since. If calling things their true name, the Moldovan president then announced a desire to visit a ceremony in the so-caleed "Transnistrian Republic" - a part of Moldova, which in fact is under the Russian hybrid occupation - to celebrate an anniversary of the  occupation operation. After a while he changed his plans since the Russian Vice Prime Minister Dmitry Rogozin canceled his visit to the event.
